RURAL BUSINESS INNOVATION BOARD MEMBER RETIRES FROM POSITION AFTER 27 YEARS OF SERVICE |
BLOOMSBURG, PA - It is with a mixture of sadness and gratitude that the Board of Directors of Rural Business Innovation announces the resignation of Board Member John Yoder, effective Tuesday, June 30th. John has been part of the organization since its establishment in 1993 under the name Rural Enterprise Development Corporation. Over the years, he has served as Board President, Loan Committee Chair and most recently Board Vice-President. |
Given John’s long history with RBI the value of his leadership and guidance of the organization cannot be overstated. He has played a vital role in the development and success of Rural Business Innovation. We will never be able to express enough thanks for the knowledge, dedication, and passion for business he has given to the organization over the last 27 years. John’s absence will be felt by staff, board members and partners alike.
Anyone who has ever worked in economic development will tell you that you never truly retire from the work. We look forward to following the successes of his continued career with Service 1st FCU and wish him all the best with his future endeavors.
Service 1st FCU will maintain their seat on the RBI board with Linda Brown replacing John Yoder as the Primary Board Member. We are pleased to have Linda take a more active role on the board. Her past participation with RBI and involvement in our loan program make her the perfect candidate to continue Service 1st FCU’s successful relationship with RBI.
We are hopeful and excited for the next chapter of RBI as we continue to support our local communities and entrepreneurs in our continuing goal of economic development.
