Local Entrepreneur Brings Event Series to Region as a Giveback The Susquehanna Valley soon will be the newest home of a national program to engage, educate and connect local entrepreneurs. Founded by the Kauffman Foundation, 1 Million Cups is based on the notion that entrepreneurs network and discover solutions over a million cups of coffee. The free, monthly gathering helps build startup communities on a grassroots level. Reserve your seat for this event on November 1st, 9am-10am today: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1-million-cups-susquehanna-valley-tickets-37806788121
“Giving back to the entrepreneur community is important to me and my fellow coordinators. I approached the Kauffman Foundation with the vision of connecting entrepreneurs throughout the Susquehanna Valley in the spirit of education and community. I’m incredibly proud to say we’re the first 1MC community to be given a license in Pennsylvania. And, we’re also one of the first rural communities,” say Mark Burke, CEO of THINK’ID8 and Lead Coordinator for 1 Million Cups Susquehanna Valley. Beginning November 1st, 2017, entrepreneurs, innovators, funders and other interested community members are invited to attend from 9 to 10 a.m. at Iron Front Cowork, located at 434 Market Street, Lewisburg, PA. The program’s model is consistent in each city: During each event, two early-stage startups present their companies to an audience of mentors, advisers and other entrepreneurs. Each founder presents for six minutes, followed by a 20-minute question-and-answer session with the audience. 1MC-SQV will be held the first Wednesday of most months from 9-10am.
