What is it?
The Local Enterprise Assistance Program (LEAP) from RBI is a revolving loan fund available to rural businesses within the Pennsylvania counties we cover (see map below). LEAP was established in 1993 and has been updated over the years to adapt with funding availability. However its purpose; to assist low income entrepreneurs and local areas businesses in achieving growth, job creation and retention, has remained consistent throughout the years.
How it works.
The LEAP Program currently operates three different loan funds; NCIDA Loan Fund, KIZ Loan Fund and USDA RMAP Loan Fund. Each fund has different eligibility requirements. Loans generally range from $5,000 to $25,000 depending on company eligibility and availability of funds ($30,000 is the maximum loan amount). The RBI Director will be able to discuss options with you based on the information provided in your New Client Application. Once eligibility is established we will work closely with each individual business throughout the application process. Once your application is completed and submitted the group of experienced area leaders making up our Loan Committee will review all collected data to provide a determination.
